Keith Pakish





For the past few years Keith Pakish has served American Casino Entertainment Properties as the Corporate Vice President of Ancillary Gaming.  The position of ancillary gaming includes the following departments: Table Games, Race & Sports, Poker, Bingo and Keno.  Keith has devised and implemented strategic changes in these departments that dramatically improved the performance in these gaming areas.  Furthermore, Keith has recruited and developed key players at each property to improve results for those properties.

Keith’s gaming career spans thirty years, after graduating college with a degree in Social Science he rose up through the ranks from line employee to his current position.  The majority of his career has been spent in table game operations with special emphasis on guest service, improving table games staffing by scheduling to demand, improving the mix of game types to maximize revenues.   Keith has dealt table games, supervised all games, performed as a casino shift manager for Harrah’s, the Rio, and Stations Casinos through various promotions.  Keith became Director of Casino Operations at a Stations Casino and served as Vice President of Gaming for Viejas Casino and Turf Club in Southern California.  In addition, he has also worked in a local casino in rural Nevada as a General Manager.

During tough economic times Keith’s departments have embraced change focusing on cost saving strategies and labor savings.  Some of the main focuses for these strategies has been restructuring the bingo product, improving table game mix and hold percentages, enhancing the keno product, maximizing poker hours of operation, limiting risk in sports betting and marketing to increase pari-mutuel.   Keith has recruited and hired talent necessary to deliver an exceptional product along with developing a guest service initiative that has dramatically improved table games.

Along with a full gaming career, Keith is committed to his family and community.  Keith has been married to his wife Teresa for five years and has three grown children.  He is actively involved in their personal and professional development. Keith has twenty years of coaching youth sports. He serves on the gaming advisory board for the College of Southern Nevada and mentors University of Nevada Las Vegas students who are attending the hotel and gaming management program.  Recently, Keith was asked to serve on ACEP’s Community Connection philanthropic Committee.

Keith is an executive that effectively builds teams putting his people in areas where they can and will be successful.  He is a mentor and works well in any type of gaming operation from the glitz of the Las Vegas strip to value based local casino operation or Indian gaming.  Keith has also worked as a consultant working for gaming operations in Nevada to the Caribbean providing workshops on guest service to game protection including best casino practices.
